Devaryaa Makhija is a Grade-11 student at Dhirubhai Ambani International School, studying Business Studies, International Mathematics, First Language English, World Literature, French, History, Global Perspectives, Chemistry, Physics, and Marathi. Devaryaa's passion for the subject of communication and global matters encouraged him to join the Debate Club in his school, where he debates in mock debates conducted by students and researches ongoing events around the globe in the World Schools Debate format. In addition to his academic pursuits, Devaryaa has been playing cricket since 2018 as an all-rounder in his school team, which has further enhanced his game through rigorous training sessions with Coach Aniket Redkar, who also trains the Mumbai Indians.
Fuelled by his concern for social justice and well-being of communities, Devaryaa has initiated RightTrack, a social movement dedicated to food security and increasing awareness among daily-wage labourers and domestic migrants in Mumbai about their rights. Within the scope of his social movement, Devaryaa has held workshops for migrants regarding their rights, provided educational material about governmental schemes and proper documentation, distributed dry meals, and held a health camp for workers in construction sites. Besides his academic and social impact activities, Devaryaa is interested in pursuing various extracurricular activities to build his leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
